Java Programmer | Calabasas, CA
Job Summary
The Company is searching for a Java Programmer who will be responsible for developing web-based applications and server architecture in both Windows and Unix operating systems. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently on their tasks, yet capable of being an integral part of the development team to support a highly-interactive, high-performance user experience and social networking environment. This position reports to the Engineering Manager of the Network Team.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Java-based applications
- Integrate with a variety of back-end systems
- Collaborate with web-design teams to assimilate front-end and back-end logic
- Write clear, well-written, object-oriented code
- Thrive in a fun, intense, engaging environment with plenty of design kudos
Requirements
- 3 years professional experience as a Java programmer
- Proven experience with Tomcat, Hibernate and database-driven programming
- Strong foundation with the Play Framework or similar LAMP-style environment
- Working knowledge of XML and ReSTful web-services
- Solid underpinning in multi-threaded, asynchronous and distributed computing
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- HTML and JavaScript/AJAX experience a plus
- Significant audio or music experience a MAJOR plus!
